First Striped Bass of the year
We were lucky enough to escape the rain showers last friday and very happy as Michelle Gurda of New York was able to live line our first big striped bass of the year. Everything this year has been a bit late as the water temps are rising later than usual. Water temp and feed are what control the fish when they’re migrating.
The good news is we are seeing large schools of herring and mackerel all around Gloucester and the only place for the water temperature to go it up! Here is an awesome aerial image taken from a plane overlooking cape cod bay. As you can see there are quite a few fish!
